General Info

Tucked along Coogee Bay Road, Costi's Fish And Chips At Coogee is the kind of seafood restaurant that instantly feels welcoming. The location is easy to spot while exploring the Coogee area, and it’s a convenient stop whether you’re heading to the beach or simply looking for a relaxed place to enjoy fresh seafood. From the moment you look over the menu, it’s clear the focus here is straightforward: fresh ingredients, classic flavors, and satisfying portions.

One dish that immediately stands out on the menu is the Battered Fresh Local Flathead and Chips. It’s the kind of meal that defines what a good fish and chips experience should be. The fish is lightly battered so the flavor of the fresh flathead still shines through, while the chips come crisp and golden. It’s simple, but done well, which is exactly what many visitors and locals expect when they read reviews of a seafood spot in Coogee.

Another popular choice is the Prawn and Avocado combination. This option adds a refreshing twist to the menu, balancing the richness of seafood with the smooth, creamy texture of avocado. It’s a lighter option compared to the classic fried selections, yet still satisfying enough to feel like a proper meal. Dishes like this show that the restaurant offers more than just traditional fish and chips while still keeping seafood at the center of the experience.

For those who want to try a little bit of everything, the Grilled Seafood Basket is a great pick. It brings together a variety of grilled seafood in one generous plate, offering different textures and flavors in every bite. When scanning the menu, this dish often catches attention because it’s perfect for sharing or for anyone who enjoys sampling multiple seafood items in one meal.

Beyond the food itself, the services make the dining experience convenient and flexible. Takeout is a popular option, especially for visitors who want to enjoy their seafood by the beach. The restaurant also offers no-contact delivery, which is helpful for those who prefer to enjoy their meal at home. Families will appreciate the kids’ menu, while the availability of small plates makes it easy to order a few different items and share. Payment is simple too, with debit cards accepted, keeping things smooth at the counter.

Overall, the experience at Costi's Fish And Chips At Coogee feels casual yet dependable. The menu focuses on recognizable seafood favorites, the location is easy to access along Coogee Bay Road, and the steady stream of positive reviews reflects what many diners look for in a relaxed seafood restaurant: fresh flavors, quick service, and meals that are consistently satisfying.

What customers say?

“ we tired the calamari box and the seafood basket eveything was SOO GOOOD!! fresh sea food, hot chips ahhhh couldn’t have been any better! we sat inside and they had cute indoor seating, staff were very friendly and the wait wasn’t very long considering it was fresh 10/10 ”

- Pragya Singh -

“ Mixed grill with brown rice is the best!! So much texture and flavour - the rice soaks up all the amazing juices from the seafood and lemon ”

- R C -

“ Mean az fish and chips. The place and surrounding environment was absolutely pumpin!! Copped the ‘Grilled Snapper’ w/ chips and a raspberry lemonade to wash it down. Fish was cooked to perfection and plump az. Chippies are chippies cooked beautifully topped off with a buttery az garlic aioli. The ‘inu’ was quite sweet but refreshing, would have like to try the lemon but was recommended the raspberry. Due to it being busy the shop lacked cleanliness, purely because it was full on workers were very kind and willing to clean tables wherever needed. ”

- Mikaera Miru-Rangi -

“ We had the flathead fish & chips and fried calamari. We liked how everything tasted, but feels that the batter can be crispier on the fish! And we wish that there were more comfortable seating at this place! If you are visiting, do consider takeaway! ”

- Desmond Poh -

“ Got whole tiger prawns and chips which tasted so good (the meat was sweet) at a fair price for such generous portion. It was crowded but the waiting time was not that long. Definitely will come back. ”

- Gabriella Ardhya -

“ Fresh and tasty fish and chips. Fresh grilled fish done right - went for the healthy choice and it was spot on. Chips were nicely seasoned with a good crunch, and there’s a solid selection to choose from. Best enjoyed as takeaway since seating can get busy, especially around peak beach hours. ”

- Gary Palar -

“ Sooo good! Best seafood shop. Could have more seating but you can just walk to the beach and enjoy it there aswell. ”
